Suzette Stitch Variation Free Dishcloth Pattern and Crochet Stitch Tutorial

The suzette stitch is a very popular crochet stitch for its beautiful, reversible texture and use of easy stitches. In this stitch tutorial, I will show you how to crochet an easy variation of the suzette stitch. And because I firmly believe in getting the most out of your yarn, I have included the instructions for creating a dishcloth–which is basically just a large swatch. 🙂 The pattern multiple is included so you can make any size project you would like with this stitch.

Materials:

  • Yarn: Any #4 worsted weight/aran weight cotton or cotton blend yarn
    • Examples: Peaches & Cream, Lily Sugar ‘N Cream, Premier Home Cotton
    • ***If you are wanting to use your dishcloth as a potholder, please be sure to use 100% cotton.***
  • Yardage: Less than 100 yards/92 meters
  • Hook: H (5.0 mm)
  • Locking stitch marker, scissors, yarn needle
  • If you would like to professionally display your finished dishcloth(s) for a craft fair or gifting, you can purchase the printable pdf for the sleeves shown in the pictures below in my Etsy shop here.
